Wow. Solo movie nights are actually power.
I know you are asleep right now but I’m happy I stayed up late and finished watching a truly wonderful movie.
A movie about cooking.
In fact, it’s so good I don’t want to even spoil the impression of it trying to describe it. Instead, I’ll tell you how I feel. Warm inside. At peace with myself. As if the love for cooking and love for other people just transcended through the screen into me.
I recognized parts of myself in the film (and nope, not only because of the title).
I guess what touched me the most is... the invisible soul mate bond that connected two women through time and space. Love was in the air among them both.
But it was born in the kitchen.
And I truly believe there is nothing more beautiful than a great meal cooked with love for someone’s who’s asking “What’s for dinner?”. I hope one day I will be asked that question, as I want my food to make other people happy. Make other people feel loved. And love others.
The book of love has cookies in it
The fact is where cookies come from
Some of them are chickpeas based ones
Some of them are really yum
*
But I, I love it when you cook to me
And you - you can cook me anything.
If I were to write a cook book one day (who knows? Perhaps I will :p ) I’d definitely write those recipes down:
a radiating from happiness Swiss cheese fondue
a pistachio croissant
a two chickpeas burrito
a flan
and a perfect black tea with lemon brew
Btw, do you know how Moses makes his tea?
He brews it.
Ha ha. See, I want my food make people laugh. I guess, that’s just what love is.
One big recipe. It takes a lot of courage, but even more of laughter, great music, people, dances, food!
Why is that nothing can transcend our love better than food?
But... I know, a big element to every cooking is magic. Something that you cannot predict. Something that you cannot add. It just appears.
And so does love. You either love or you don’t.
And I do.
Just like Julie loves Julia.
