It's quite rare to hear a song you truly like when it's not a mainstream song, especially in a coffeeshop. But it just happened, and there couldn't be a better entering line for a blog post about my hood.

Czytelnia - where music you like is played from coffeeshop speakers.

And I am sitting right below one now, in a coffeeshop "Czytelnia". This is, if not my place of power, but my place of creativity. Since I discovered it in 2019, I have been returning here ever since, seeing the rise and falls of kingdom of flat white and nitro, as they have been moving places and changing.

But music quality has stayed on top 👌

I cannot move elsewhere from my neighourhood now, you know? It's ridiculous how one can have such a sentiment for a coffeeshop. Apart from great, yet minimalist menu, and music which often expands my library in a wholesome way, I love the vibe of locality and community which thrives in here.

Small or big talk. Hood gossip. Entrepreneurship mixing. Everybody addressing each other by "ty" or name.

And yes, they address kids in the equal, respectful way. And so do they to dogs.

Pan tu siada!

We are all Beliańscy here. Warmth, familiarity and friendliness runs in our bodies the say way as caffeine does.

"Czytelnia" is where I create, this is where "Cut it short" had it intuitive genesis, which started on a piece of paper, in my Macbook notes, and finally, on this site.

This is where I sit through my exams, work, thesis, projects and heartbreaks.

A place for reflection, appreciation, and gratitude.

A place for catching up with your natural pace, looking at people, or looking out of window.

Shazam.

Ironically, I barely read any book in here. But good books found me here.

A place that gives me a kick to capture life at its fullest, with words & emotions.
